Kop Zuidas

Competition entry for a mixed-use building of 20.000 m2.

Space&Matter’s competition entry for the development of mixed-use buildings on a unique strip in Zuidas combined a mix of multi-tenant housing, offices and facilities, with the additional aim of engaging its surroundings through a lively plinth.

The competition brief called for a design that establishes itself within the rapidly developing context of the Kop Zuidas district, a highly accessible site and hub for future developments.

In response to this, the building essentially challenges people to move and meet within it, particularly through the sharing of numerous living and working typologies, which also connect with the neighbourhood. An expansive courtyard enhances air, light and landscape, creating a building to facilitate personal and professional growth along with the housing upgrades.
