Last week, space&matter was well represented at the 54th World Congress of the IFHP (International Federation of Housing and Planning) in Porto Alegre, Brazil. On monday we were granted 2nd place in the Young Professional Award with our 'Voor(t)zet' (New Fronts) project. Tuesday november 16th Tjeerd Haccou lectured for an international audience, on the possibilities of using online social media for community building and urban planning. The theme of the Congress was 'Building Communities in the City of the Future'. The main issues during the three-day congress were:
