The New York Times features our project Schoonschip in a longread about how Amsterdam is creating a blueprint for a circular approach to the building industry, who are responsible for 40 percent of the world’s carbon emissions. NYT journalist Jessica Camille Aguirre describes Schoonschip as “an explicitly grass-roots effort to create a utopian vision of circular design.”
Schoonschip is a sustainable floating neighbourhood where inhabitants took matters into their own hands to create, in collaboration with Space&Matter and sustainability experts Metabolic, a neighbourhood that showcases circular building principles for a regenerative future.
